THE City of Rockingham held a marketing strategy forum with several stakeholders recently to assess the city’s brand and help create a strategic marketing plan.
Mayor Barry Sammels said the forum, let by the city’s economic development team, was the first step in developing the marketing plan, which would concentrate on the four key focus areas of the Economic Development Strategy.
They are regional leadership, major infrastructure, marketing the City of Rockingham and key regional opportunities.
“The City of Rockingham is entering an exciting phase of developing strategies to increase future levels of investment and job creation,” Cr Sammels said.
“This marketing forum was all about inviting some of our external stakeholders who have a vested interest in our community and to capture their ideas.”
Cr Sammels said the responses and ideas that arose at the forum were invaluable and inspiring and the forum was an exciting and rewarding day.
